League

Each season BFC enters a number of teams to the London Saturday Youth League. This is an FA-affiliated league that plays on Saturday mornings generally on Tooting Common or Wandsworth Common. Each team competes in league and cup competitions for their age group.

The times of the matches can vary from week to week
Matches are seven-a-side for 20 minutes for Year 5 and eleven-a-side for older kids.
Matches are refereed by professionals with the FA player and spectator codes of conduct strictly upheld

For the teams to run smoothly and the kids to enjoy the experience, it is important that we get as many parents involved as possible. There’s plenty to do and it is hugely rewarding.

Registration

The League fee is £50 per child (in addition to the normal £30 BFC subscription). This covers the League’s costs and kit, which gets passed down each year. There is a considerable amount of administration required to run the league teams, particularly around registration and match day team sheets / League player cards. If you haven’t registered and paid then your child will not be able to play.

We also have teams available to play friendlies at both Under 9 (Ben Jackson) and Under 8 (Andy Howard) if any opposing teams would like an occasional game.
